William Kloefkorn

Lincoln, Nebraska

William Kloefkorn was the author of more than 30 books, including Swallowing the Soap: New and Selected Poems (2010), Still Life Moving (2007), and Alvin Turner As Farmer (2004). His poetry was published in former U.S. Poet Laureate Ted Kooser's column, “American Life in Poetry.” He lived in Nebraska, where he served as Nebraska state poet and was emeritus professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
