Sharmila Voorakkara

Sharmila Voorakkara is the author of Fire Wheel (University of Akron Press, 2003).  A native of New Jersey, Voorakkara earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of Virginia, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow. She is the recipient of a Hall Poetry Fellowship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and teaches English at Ohio University.
